This wasn't the most extravagant trip I've took. But it was the first trip completely on my own and much needed. I decided to go on this trip because there was a used bookstore I wanted to check out before, sadly, it closes. It's called the Blind Willow Book Shop. I've been going there for the last four/five years of my life for all my favourite independent book finds. It's a cozy place and welcoming with a fine selection of used books.

Here are some of the books I got for $1 each! I did get more than just these books, but the others are gifts for my friends. There are no pictures of those in fear of them finding out, so you'll have to wait for Christmas!
After being at the book shop for a long period of time I went and checked out another shop that I have been meaning to check out for years, but it was either always closed or I didn't have time. I'm so glad I went in, because it's the cutest little shop. Cottage on Main Street is a lovely shop run by a woman named Emma from across the pond. Her and her husband moved here in 2007. Whilst I was there I got these beautiful black coated matches to satisfy my love for well-designed matches.
Well into my time there, my stomach was in a fit. It was certainly time to eat, so I headed over to Panera Bread with my new Italian book and had a quiet lunch alone. Afterwards, I headed to Target for a last minute goody pickup for simple and cheap gifts/chocolates. While was there though, there was a huge clothing sale in which they were having 50% and 70% off! Naturally, I headed toward the dresses and found this beauty. I didn't think I would like it, but it's gorgeous and fits really well.
I also found the cutest ornaments for the tree!
I would have took more pictures of town, but I felt like it would inappropriate. Emmaus is like a hometown to me. It posted the question: When is it appropriate to be a tourist? Is it appropriate to be one when you are touring alone? Or in a place you call home? I'm sure if it isn't, but it didn't feel right. I also didn't want to draw attention to myself as a woman walking around on my own. With a camera taking pictures, none-the-less.
Or is just another fear?
