National Besties Day!

Even though POTS can be a pain in the butt most days, these ladies have always been there for me no matter the circumstance. Even for normal life matters! lol

Emily: Do you realize we’ve been friends for 25 years now? That means we’re turning 25 and we’re old. Okay, maybe not that old. But I hope Jake (soon to be hubby) knows he’s marrying not only you but the rest of your friends and sister. Because we’re always going to be weird people to him and have sleepovers with his dog!

Liz: We met in weird Mr. Krames’s advisory and have been not only stuck with him (thankfully only 3 years) but each other ever since? We even went to college together! That’s like 14 years!!!! Crazy sauce!

Megan, Bea and Cristina: I wouldn’t have wanted to spend college without you guys! I’ve lived with all of you; we’ve shared secrets and tears and laughter for 7 years so far and I only hope to share more, even though we all live in different states!

Sister Roadtrip 2014

This past weekend I had the most lovely time spending it with my favourite people from college! Who have later turned into the sisters I never had. I would like to dedicate this post to them. After a year of not seeing them and our lives heading on into different directions, it has been hard to see each other. We use to go from seeing each other every day to barely at all. It's a sad thought, but none-the-less we have kept in touch. I am happy to see all of us moving on in such different and amazing directions. This weekend was nothing different from our usual selves; weird, loud, crazy, and always super hungry. We sound like a bunch of 5 year olds....lol (I swear we're more mature than that)
Starting off on Friday, Megan and Cristina got here and it was the rush to finish the cupcakes for our Cupcake War at my library! The theme was books and I chose to do Alice in Wonderland. But among me, were some very impressive cupcakes and not to mention DE-LI-CIOUS!

MY CUPCAKES!

Yes, those are 50 Shades of Grey themed!

Our cupcake picks

And the aftermath...
Afterwards, we headed to the mall and did our shopping together. I swear we wait for once a year to come to do our shopping sprees at American Eagle and Aerie. Thanks to Cristina! But this is the last year, alas, she is moving off to Seattle!
This was also my first trip out with the new POTSie wheelchair I got for better energy saving. It actually looks like Cristina is going to kill me....

Also, during their time here, they got to meet the man and we tried playing Munchkins with them, but uh, there were drinks present and that was too much going on to focus. So we just played a round of bullshit.

Finally, after three days of fun, we said our farewells. Alas, when I was giving them a tour of Scranton. Bea needed to find her Dunder Mifflin sign. I knew the billboard sign wasn't up, but luckily we found one in the mall for her to take a picture with. Her love for The Office is pretty extreme :)

Comic Con!

I almost totally forgot to post up Comic Con fun! Here we go!

I went to Comic Con with the man for his birthday and my brothers were there with us as well! There was a game Lending Library, where we played (the now owned) game, Munchkin Quest. It's probably the cutest game ever!

We got to see the Tardis and Dr. Deadpool.

Then my brothers had to get pictures with the Tardis and the Doctor.....

Oh and I got to see Karen Gillan from a far!

~

The trip was a lot of fun! The drive was long, but we made it. I was dying from all the walking and we tried to get a wheelchair for me, but they were all gone. Darn reserves. But alas, I am fixing THAT problem!
I also got to see Christopher Llyod and the Delorean! Way cool!

I took tons of gater and beef jerky....for some reason if gives me some extra energy.

Casa de Beatriz

Back with my college ladies!

Breakfast in the sun. The best breakfast I've definitely.

Being a rebel and got a second piercing!

We explored and went to the magical Van Gogh Cafe

Last year we made goals for our life. And this year we made goals again, but framed them.

Last Graduation

Cristina came up this week to hang out and attend graduation with me!

Main Street Cafe has french fry pizza!

We then took a trip to the FireFly Bookstore in Kutztown, PA to look around at their used books!

We had a seat once again at graduation, but this time as Alumna's! Afterwards we tried to get pictures with everyone possible before the rain came!

Congrats ladies!

IndieMade

This weekend I met up with two of my best friends from childhood at the IndieMade Craft Market. We made some crafts and bought some awesome winter hats! *featured below

Liz and Myko being, well, themselves.

I also made this neat bag with stencils and ink.

It was really nice being back in Allentown and at the Indie Market. It brought back so many memories of college and how much I miss being a part of it. I miss being able to make art and run off to the studio for hours. I miss the connections I had and the people I met. One day, I hope to back to that place of bliss and happiness. And the have art in my life again.

Home Once Again

My college friends and I decided to go to the beach for the weekend/week back in August. And the beach went visited was Rehoboth Beach! Although we had some trouble getting there, we made it in one piece.
Rehoboth has a very close spot next to my heart. It was one of the first places I found peace in myself and I was glad to be back. I was also happy to be sharing it with some of my favourite people.

Our friend Megan's TomTom decided that we were going to take the ferry. It wasn't so bad, it turned out better than we expected for taking the ferry across the bay for the first time.

Crazy people.

Sunset as we arrive to shore.

Once we made it ashore and found our cabin place, we basically crashed because we traveled for the whole day. All of us live in different states, luckily on the east coast, so it took some time to gather everyone.

The next day we woke up and headed to the beach and took the whole day to relax and explore town.

Of course, Cristina and I had to do our usual beach-carving of McFly in the sand. :)

Huge pina colada snow-sculptures that were delicious!

Next week found a bookstore. That I got this delicious book at; a very good read. Just be sure to keep some chocolate near by.

After a sun-drenched day, we went back to the cabin to make dinner and s'mores! S'mores first obviously.

That night by the campfire we talked about our futures and what we wanted to achieve in a year. I guess, next year by the same campfire, we'll see where we ended up. For now, heck with the future and I say, live in the present. I can say that I wouldn't want to travel with anyone else but my girls.

Side note:

On our last day there, we went to a mall and I tried to be Spiderman in the Disney store. If only the jacket was one size larger.
